Pumpkin Harvest

This is not a recent quilt (I'm still trying to finish up a Halloween table runner!), but wanted to share some Autumn coolness. I don't decorate for Autumn as much as I used to when my kids were little. This wall-size quilt has been a staple in my home though:

Car Waste Basket

I love all the tutorials available on Pinterest, however, I couldn't find one that was just right. I decided to put together my own because I needed something more "substantial". Something big enough to hold a plastic grocery bag and macho enough for a certain big, red (black interior) pickup truck. Came up with this:

I tried it out in my car and it works just fine. If anyone were interested in a tutorial, I plan to make a couple more of these for my husband's truck and my car, so let me know and I'll do a step-by-step.

Natalia Christmas Stocking

FNSI Photos

Here are a few pictures from our Friday Night Sew-in. It was a lot of fun! We got so much accomplished and we are planning our next get-together so we can complete more Christmas projects.

WIP Completed!

FINALLY I can remove something from my WIP list. Machine quilted this Figgy Pudding Christmas quilt today. I have to pat myself on the back a little because I didn't even have to remove any stitches on this one! I did all the quilting without much puckering and only broke three needles! It looks so orange in these photo's. It really isn't a traditional Christmas red and green---more modern colors---but I like it just fine.

FNSI

I can't get my linky thingy to work tonight!  That doesn't sound right, does it?  I need some technical help here!

Well, I signed up to join in on a Friday Night Sew-in, which craftyvegasmom.blogspot.com is sponsoring this month.  Sounds like fun and I may actually get some Christmas stockings done or something along those lines.  Anyone who would like to join me?  It's going to be fun!  And since I've committed to it, I'm going to blog about it once I'm done with whatever it is I'm going to do. You have a chance to win some prizes if you link up and blog about it :)

Procrastinating

This is the kind of stuff I've been working on instead of quilting.  It's pathetic.  Totally pathetic.  I have four quilts to complete before Christmas and I'm working on little projects like this:
It's an up-cycling project. Old dishcloths that were too awkward to be dishcloths that I would actually use, and too small to dry the dishes with.  They are now cute little hand towels that I will attach to the stove. Got the tutorial from Pinterest.  I am officially a convert to Pinterest.  Converted from Facebook, that is.  I find Pinterest so much more interesting than reading teenage gossip, etc. on FB and have even found myself un-friending people ( gasp!) because I can't stand it.  Please don't take this personally!  I'm pretty darn sure none of my "followers" have been deleted.  I will repent later...when I'm done pinning.  Which will be never.  And now I'm going to be feverishly working on some quilts for the rest of this week, with maybe a smattering of pinning here and there :)

Dress

I set aside the diaper covers for today and tackled a dress for ME.  After Jess took pictures of it front and back, I made a few little changes.  Decided to get all brave and post a picture of all of me in it.
What a dork, right?  I put my hands in the pockets so you could see that it has pockets.  The other more close-up photos were far too revealing...I mean you can practically see the crooked stitches.
The fabric is a wool blend, so I put a lining in the dress.  It is actually black and navy blue, but hard to tell from this picture.

Diapers

These are the cutest little diaper covers that Kassie and I are making.  If I could just figure out how to link to someones blog...I have followed the instructions and still haven't figured it out.  Anyway, you can check out Kassie's blog to see more.   I am working on another five of them today.  Snowing already in Idaho and I'm not at all ready for winter, except for all the projects I have stacked up to work on.

Jess Finished Quilt

Here is a look at the finished product.  It is the first quilt Jessica has completely finished by herself.  I just helped with the binding.  I took a close-up so you can see that after we washed it, the raw edges of the circles softened right up.  Alli loves her Mom's new quilt :)
