A Lori Holt Pattern

I love all the patterns by Lori Holt. Most of the fabrics in this quilt are Lori Holt fabrics. A throw size quilt and not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I like the idea of hanging it on the wall in my dining room, but will give that some more thought. Farm Girl Sampler blocks from her book Farm Girl Vintage. I made a different block every day that I could find the time--and for many weeks. Finally added the sashing last week and layered and quilted it this past weekend.

Christmas Quilt for Chandler

This is a vintage trucks Christmas quilt for son-in-law, Chandler. He likes vintage trucks and he likes Christmas, so it just worked. Gifted it to him early so he can enjoy all during the holiday season.

A Christmas Tree Skirt for Crystal

Made this Christmas tree skirt for Crystal using fabrics she chose at a fabric shop in Bozeman (girls weekend, September 2023):

Halloween Quilts and a Table Runner

I haven't made any Halloween projects the last few years, so thought I would do a few. A Halloween quilt for Kassie:

Here is one I made for Adrienne using some fabrics she picked out. I also made her the table runner pictured here.

Works in Progress 2023

I have several quilts that need to be finished. Probably a dozen in the planning stages! Always thinking ahead, ya know. There will never be enough hours in the day, weeks in the year, or months in my lifetime to complete all the quilts I want to make!

This bottom one in the lineup is my temperature quilt. This shows the first 5 months. Already halfway through July and looking more colorful all the time. We had a rough, long winter, so lots of blues and greens there (for very low temps).

Summer Happenings

Late spring was spent in Sisters, Oregon with my sisters and Mom. We try to meet up there every year.

The Sitching Post is located there, so always do some shopping. We wander the shops, hang out, work on projects, eat too much, catch up on all the latest family drama.

With spring comes baby chicks. These are Jersey Giant chicks this year. Maybe we'll do some other kinds in the future.

Gardening is a big part of the summer, of course. Made my life easier by laying groundcover and mulch between the raised beds this year. The grandkids helped a little. This was early summer, so things were still growing. Everything looks much better in July.

Early summer also brought along other projects, like this new deck on the back of our house. My sister, Bonnie, and her husband came out to help. It turned out great and hope it lasts another 20 years.

Completed Quilts in 2023

Completed in 2023. The butterfly one was hung in the grandkids room.

Sweet Childhood Memories was a quilt along with Pat Sloan using Cheri and Chelsea's fabrics from A Quilting Life. I gave this one to my sister-in-law. The back shows the feather quilting.

Valentine Table Runners

I made two of these Valentine's Table Runners. This is using a pattern from Primitive Gatherings and I think the fabrics are theirs also--one charm pack, plus a couple other fabrics to complete both.

Zipper Bags

I really enjoy making zipper bags. I got some cute lace edged zippers and used them a few times now. I plan to make more! Also love the new Pioneer Woman fabrics, so I've used them in a few bags.

The fabric on this one is so cute too.

This is one made from the Pioneer Woman fabrics. The scissors zipper pull says "fabric only".
And not all of them have lace zippers. Most don't. This one was for Jessica for Christmas.

This one is also made from Pioneer Woman fabrics. Made this one for Crystal when we went to Education Week in 2022.

Christmas Table Runner

I made a Christmas table runner for Crystal this year.

Quillows for Christmas

Allison with her Quillow. Sea Creatures theme (whales and sea turtles).

Sophia's Quillow has a Paris theme. The backing looks a little peach in this picture, but it's pink.

Lula and her Quillow. It has panda bears and donuts on it. She loves panda bears! And donuts too?

Elizabeth and Quillow with a princess/castle theme. Front and back.

Quilts for Christmas 2022

I took a Skillshare class to make this quilt using batik fabrics. It's called Roots and Branches. I gave it to Kassie and Jacob for Christmas 2022. I quilted this one using a leaf pattern, which I knew Kassie would love since one of her hobbies is caring for houseplants (and she has many beautiful ones!)

Natalia and her Chevron quilt made with Petal Power fabrics.

Kaliah hiding behind her Chevron quilt made with Petal Power fabrics.

Aleya and her quilt Rainbow Dreams.

Our little elf Andi and her quilt, also made with Rainbow Dreams fabrics.

Aria peeking from behind her quilt "Hello Sunshine".
Avary proudly showing off her quilt, also made with Hello Sunshine fabrics.
