My sister came to visit, so I gave this one to her. The quilt pattern is from Digital Download - Outstanding Stars Quilt Pattern by Missouri Star (missouriquiltco.com).

A fun one to do if you're looking for something patriotic. 

Bright & Happy Scrappy Quilt

Completed the binding on this last night. Hard to tell in the photos, but the binding is also a red and white polka-dot fabric. Large throw size. 

A Vintage Finish

My daughter Crystal asked me to put the layers together on this one then quilt and bind.

About 36 x 42 and I haven't named this one. Hanging in my sewing room now. No pattern, just scraps and some (not fun) math to do the stars and sashing.

2020 Finishes Not Posted in 2020

I worked on the little house blocks off and on for many months, but it was finished in 2020. Just never posted about it. Obviously, these are scrap quilts. I was really craving all the color during that time. 

Jan 31st Finish

My goal was to finish several projects in January, but that just didn't happen. This one was started in 2021 and just finished last night 1/31/22. I was hand sewing the binding on at about 10 p.m. last night. I think I may gift this one to our youngest son and daughter-in-law. I am really loving all the color on the grey background. 

A Simple Pillow

This looks cool and complicated, but it was really simple. Iron-on black fabric with a pre-cut design to the Batik fabric and I made it into a pillow for son-in-law.

 

A Finish That is Not A Quilt

My daughter-in-law Adrienne gave me this embroidery project to do. Just finished it last night! 

Christmas 2021 Snowflake Wall Hanging Quilt

I struggled with this one for some reason. Not that it was so complicated, but I just couldn't get my reds and greens to balance when I was putting it together. It was frustrating, but in the end it all worked out. Wall hanging size, about 3 ft. square. Pattern from https://www.fatquartershop.com/jelly-snowflake-finishing-quilt-pattern-free-pdf-pattern.  I had planned to make another one in a different colorway, but since I stressed through the first one, the second one did not materialize. 

I have three quilts in different stages of completion right now--see below.  All scrap quilts.  I need to be better about posting them when completed! I know I lost pics from my phone or didn't take pictures at all of many quilts I made in the last couple of years. I'll try to do better. I have about a dozen UFO's that are on my list to do as well--not all quilts.

Lula's Quilt

This flying geese quilt was made mostly by granddaughter, Lula. I helped her a lot. She's only 8. It's lap-sized and she took it home when it was finished. She chose all the colors--she loves color! And so do I.

Super fun and rewarding to teach the grandkids to quilt. There will be many more in the future.

Quarantine Quilt

I made quite a few "Quarantine Quilts". For some reason I don't have pictures of them all, but this is one of them. I didn't get around to quilting it until 2021. I think I did like 9 that year--HA! One good thing that came out of all that extra time at home. This is lap sized and it's been added to my own personal collection. Most of the other quilts were given away. These fabrics are from an old line of fabrics by Amanda Jean @Crazy Mom Quilts (Instagram). She used to have a blog and I followed it religiously.  Love her fabrics, patterns, and she's so sweet and talented.

Annette's Embroidered Quilt

I made this one for my mother a year or so ago. It was the last quilt I did on my Bernina 880 using the embroidery attachment before it broke down (again!). I think I gave it to her for Mother's Day/birthday in April 2021.  Each block represents a monthly theme or depicts a season...January is a red cardinal, February the heart with tulips, etc. She has it hanging on a wall in her bedroom and really loves it. She is turning 95 this year, so I need to come up with something new this year--but maybe not a quilt. I've given her quite a few over the years. She does appreciate them, so that's great.

Baby Blues Quilt

I used scraps from another, larger quilt to make what I call Baby Blue's. It's only about 30 x 42 in. I still need to find someone having a baby boy though. Our kids have completed their families, and no baby boys in sight. We have 14 granddaughters and 1 grandson! This one was also done either in Dec. 2020 or Jan 2021, something like that.

National Park Panels

These National Park panels of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone were done way back in 2020 also. My, how time flies. These were the first panels I did. Found a couple more (in future posts) that I put more detail into. This was a new thng for me, but I think they turned out fine. They became wall hangings for daughter and son-in-law that live near these areas. They can see the tetons from their living room! 

From Way Back When

I finished this one for our oldest child in December 2020. It was so much fun to make! I bet nearly everyone can spot a Lori Holt pattern a mile away. She is so talented and I really enjoyed making this quilt, although it took quite a long time. Quarantine, ya know.
