Jewelry Case #3
This is another summer project that I can cross off my list. Jessica has a tutorial for these nifty travel jewelry cases over HERE.
Quote of the Week
Perhaps there is some truth in Dave's quote below, but I also wonder what people without hobbies do with all of their time. My hobby of quilting is what seems to keep me from going insane!
“There is a very fine line between hobby and mental illness.” – Dave Barry
I am aware that some people out there think my hobby is a bit obsessive at times. Oh, well! I hope you have a great weekend filled with lots of safe fun, no matter what you do!

Summer Table Runner
At last! Something I can cross off my to-do list this summer. A simple, summery table runner. I decided to break away from the traditional stitch-in-the-ditch around the little nine-patch blocks.

Exhausted and a Giveaway
No other word for it. I am exhausted from traveling, work, play, and helping kids move. It's all been mostly positive though, so not really trying to complain. I think everyone can relate to that good kind of exhausted.
Awesome give-away going on over at Green Fairy Quilts. Just a great chance to win a fat quarter bundle of 35 different fabrics!! They are so pretty too! Check it out.
I will try to get some REAL blogging done again soon. I did work on my summer table runner, but need to find the time to finish it up.

Other People's Blogs
It's fun to see all the giveaways on other people's blogs. I haven't had the time to get into the groove myself yet. Maybe someday soon. These are worth checking out over at A Kid Friendly World. There are just so many out there, so be sure to visit them, follow them, and who knows, maybe even win something! I know I'm sure going to try ;)
New Blog
I am really enjoying my daughter-in-laws new blog, Going Green with the Grizls! It's super cute and loaded with lots of great information. Check it out when you have a chance. I think you'll like what you see. Kassie is extremely creative, frugal, full of ideas, and just plain talented.

Sew-Along
I am going to be on the road a lot for the next few weeks (and working. sigh), but plan to work on some little projects this month somehow, some way. Crazy Mom Quilts is sponsoring this:

Make a list of some little projects you want to work on or complete. This is mine:
1. Yellow hexagons for table runner.
2. Summer-themed table runner
3. Baby boy quilt
4. Roll-up jewelry case #3
5. Small quilt with lots of white
That's a start. Considering I may get pretty busy with travel, work, Mother's Day weekend, wedding anniversary (29 years??? Crazy), and helping two of our kids move and clean their houses...even 5 projects may prove to be too much for me. Will let you know how things go. What are you working on?
